Biometric
Solutions
Biometric security solves problems that occur from
lost, stolen or damaged cards. In addition, it allows
for the elimination of having to carry cards or remember
pin numbers. As such, biometric identification equipment
is moving out of specialized applications into the mainstream
access control market. Various types of biometric systems
are currently being used for real-time identification.
The most popular are based on fingerprint, hand geometry
or retinal recognition. Higher security operations may
require a secondary measure of identity to be used in
conjunction with the biometrics system such as a proximity
reader or keypad. Today, almost all biometric systems
allow the ability to compensate for environmentally
or physically induced changes such as cuts, swelling,
temperature or dirt.

Integrated
System Solutions
Integrated systems can be controlled manually or
automatically, locally or remotely, from one or more
terminals. They can include, for example: managing ID
passes for entry to buildings or equipment, monitoring
of fire, control of surveillance cameras which can be
programmed to automatically react to any alarm or incident,
control of gates, parking lot barriers and intruder
detection systems. The systems we install have user-friendly
front-end applications that can work across a variety
of standard operating systems such as Windows; thereby
allowing a simple graphic means of identifying 'events'
by means of incorporated digital building plans. Our
systems can even be integrated with your existing Local
or Wide Area networks and linked easily to remote monitoring
stations.

Parking
Barrier Gates
Nexus Technologies Group engineers and installs
barriers that control vehicle movement. The key role
of this equipment is to prevent unauthorized access
while providing minimum inconvenience to authorized
vehicles. Ultimately, these systems have the capability
to stop vehicles at the relevant barrier and prevent
entry until proper identification is authenticated.
Nexus Technologies Group always takes the time to match
the clients' security requirements with equipment while
adhering to traffic-flow conditions.

Photo
Identification Systems
Photo Identification systems are used in conjunction
with Access Control Systems to design and print ID badges
as an added level of security. The systems that we deploy
include all the graphics and information needed in order
for our clients to customize their badge layout. Today,
the card-holder's photograph and signature can be captured
live, making it easy to produce completed badges within
seconds.

Turnstiles
When considering turnstile applications for
our clients, Nexus matches the security requirements
with the appropriate equipment, while giving consideration
to the aesthetic values. Further consideration is afforded
to flow capacity. In some cases, Nexus may recommend
that a traffic study be conducted to ensure that the
intended turnstiles will not hinder pedestrian traffic.

Visitor
Management Systems
Visitor management systems provide for an archival record
of every visitor into a building. Furthermore, delivery
personnel, contractors and scheduled visitors may also
be pre-enrolled for ease of processing. Administrators
can now create a visitor card in under a minute. Additional
level of security can be added via the incorporation
of a drivers- license scanner, digital camera or signature
pad.
